Version: 1.0 · Effective: 24 October 2026 · Last updated: 24 October 2026
If you pay for a SrvYard plan and change your mind, you can have the money back in full within 14 days of the charge. You do not have to give a reason. This policy says exactly how that works. It is part of the Terms of Service.
The refund promise
- 14 days. Ask for a refund within 14 days of the date of the charge and we refund that charge in full.
- No questions asked. You do not need to explain why, and we will not ask you to use the service for longer or to try support first.
- Every paid plan, monthly and yearly. It applies to the first charge and to every renewal of a monthly or a yearly plan. It also applies after a free trial: the 14 days run from the first charge, not from the start of the trial.
- Everyone. It applies to all customers, individuals and businesses, in the UK, the EU and elsewhere.
- Full amount. You get back the whole amount charged, including any tax that was added to it.
How to ask
Use either of these, whichever is easier:
- A support ticket from the console (Support, then New ticket), written from the account the charge belongs to.
- An email to [email protected], sent from the email address of your account.
Please say which account and charge you mean (the date and amount on your invoice is enough). You do not have to give a reason. If you are not signed in, use the contact form and choose Sales. We will confirm by email when the refund has been issued.
How the money comes back
Payments for SrvYard are processed by Stripe, and a refund goes through Stripe too.
- The refund is paid to the original payment method, the same card or method that paid for the charge. We cannot refund to a different card or account.
- Once we issue it, Stripe sends it to your bank or card issuer. Stripe refunds usually take 5 to 10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your bank. If it has not arrived after 10 business days, check with your bank first, and then write to us with the date of the refund; we will help you trace it.
- Prices are in pounds sterling (£), euros (€) or US dollars ($), in the currency you choose when you pick a plan. If your card is in another currency, your bank sets the exchange rate, so the amount you get back may differ slightly from what you were charged in your currency. We cannot control this.
- Refunds are made in the currency of the charge, and no fee is deducted.
What happens to your account
When we refund your current subscription:
- The subscription ends and the organisation moves to the Hobby plan, the free plan, with its limits. The change is immediate.
- Nothing is deleted because of the downgrade. Your servers, sites and settings are kept and your servers keep running as they were. If your use is above the Hobby limits, you can keep what you have and look at it, but you cannot create more until you are within the limits or on a paid plan again. Our support team will help you decide what to do.
- The data we hold about your account is kept for the periods in the Privacy Policy. You can export your configuration or delete your account whenever you want.
- You can subscribe again later. A new subscription is a new payment and gets its own 14 days.
If you only want to stop being charged in future and not get a refund, cancel from the Billing page instead (see below).
Cancelling future renewals
You can cancel any time. The owner of the organisation opens Billing in the console and presses Cancel subscription. The plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, then moves to Hobby, and you are not charged again. You can resume the subscription before it ends. Cancellation does not refund the current period; ask for a refund as described above if you are still within 14 days. The Billing page also opens Stripe's portal, where you can update your payment method and download invoices.
Your statutory cancellation right
If you are a consumer (an individual using SrvYard wholly or mainly outside your trade, business, craft or profession), you have a legal right to cancel a distance contract within 14 days of making it:
- In the UK: the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
- In the EU: the Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, as it applies in your country.
For a digital service where you ask for it to begin during the 14 days, which is how SrvYard works, those rules would allow us to deduct a proportionate amount for the service you have already used before you cancelled. We choose not to. Our refund is the whole charge, and it is available to all customers, including businesses, who have no statutory right at all. This policy does not reduce your statutory rights, and it does not limit any other right you have under the law, such as a remedy for a service that is faulty or not as described. If your statutory right gives you something more than this policy, you keep it.
Pay-as-you-go cloud costs
SrvYard does not resell cloud servers. The servers you create or connect are in your own account at your cloud provider (such as Hetzner, DigitalOcean, Vultr, Akamai (Linode) or Amazon), and the provider charges you directly for them. Those charges are paid to that provider, not to us, so we cannot refund them. Ask the provider about its own refund rules. Cancelling SrvYard, or being refunded, does not delete or stop your servers or stop your provider's charges.
What is not covered
- Charges older than 14 days are not refunded under this policy. We do correct our own mistakes at any time: a duplicate charge, a wrong amount or a charge after a cancellation that we failed to apply.
- Plan access that we grant without payment has nothing to refund.
- We may decline a refund where an account is being used to abuse this policy, for example by repeatedly buying and refunding the same plan to use it for free. If we decline, we will say why.
If something is wrong
If you think a charge is wrong, write to us first and we will sort it out quickly. If you dispute a charge with your bank before writing to us, the payment can be reversed and your account can be suspended while it is resolved, which helps nobody.
